For students, the pressure comes from all sides. It tells them to compromise. It takes their lives and tries to convince them that they are just preparing for what is to come. And the high school and junior high years are seen as practice for real life. They are seen as a time for partying, having fun, and doing whatever you want, because none of this really counts anyway. The problem is that this isn't practice, this isn't rehearsal, this is it. The Student Ministry at Galesburg Nazarene exists to help students make the SWITCH. We exist to lead teenagers and their parents into making Christ-like Disciples. This is SWITCH.
How we accomplish this: In keeping with our church mission, we focus on 4 primary areas:CONNECT • SWITCH Worship
Every Sunday & Wednesday night at 6:30pm, our students & volunteers gather for a time fun, games, worship, & teaching. Acting as a gateway to our SWITCH, this is a vital time for connecting with God and with others.GROW • Sunday School
Sunday school is a perfect time for students to grow in relationship with God and others. Gathering every Sunday Morning at 9:30am, this is a great opportunity to express your growth and learn more about God.
SERVE • Ministry Opportunities
Throughout the year, there are a variety of ways to get involved in serving God and others. Although there are not any regularly scheduled opportunities, students can keep their eyes open for chances to serve hand-in-hand with other church members.
