CHILDREN’S CHURCH & SUNDAY SCHOOL (Sundays 9:30 & 10:45 am)
Kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade meet in both small and large group settings with leaders to learn about God, how God’s Word (the Bible) fits into our lives, how to talk to God, and how we fulfill our vision and mission to make Christ-like disciples through Connect, Grow, Serve, and Go.
During Sunday school, children have the opportunity to continue to learn in a variety ways through both small group activities with children their age and individual reflection and play using our Worship Stations. As they leave, children and their families receive devotionals and information to help them to continue to engage during the week with each week’s Scripture and what they learned on Sunday.
BIBLE QUIZZING (Wednesdays 5:30 pm)
The goal of children’s quizzing is to learn about God and His Word, the Bible, through studying a specific portion of the Bible (usually one or two books of the Bible) each year. It is important to help children know what the Bible says and help them demonstrate biblical teachings in actual life situations. Optional competitions are held throughout the year.
The purpose of Children’s Quizzing Bible study and competition is to help children:
- Discover how to study the Bible.
- Desire to study the Bible.
- Grow in understanding of the overall chronology of the Bible.
- Learn that God is the central character and Hero of the Bible.
- Understand how people in the Bible interacted with God, and know how people today may do so also.
- Enjoy quizzing competition.
- Grow in the ability to reflect Christian attitudes and behaviors during competition.
In Children's Bible Quizzing, each child challenges himself or herself to reach award levels. In this approach, children quiz against a base of knowledge, not each other. The multiple-choice method of competition allows every child to answer every question. This approach makes it possible for every child to score a perfect score.
NURSERY (birth - 5yr. & potty trained)
Sundays 9:30 am
Nursery care is provided for infants and toddlers each Sunday during both morning services. Children are welcome to stay for both services.
